Rio Grande Valley Chapter
The Rio Grande Valley Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program meets regularly at the Harlingen Public Library (410 76 Dr, Harlingen, TX 78550) on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except in March, April, September, and December). In those months, the meetings are held at the South Texas Ecotourism Center (TX-100, Luguna Vista, TX 78578). Meetings are open to the public. More details can be found on our Facebook page (see link in footer) or by visiting our Calendar.
In addition to monthly meetings, the RGV Chapter leadership meet monthly at Cameron County San Benito Annex on Williams Drive on the 1st Tuesday to set upcoming agendas and to give a status of our chapter. As a member, you are both entitled to attend and to view the Board Meeting Minutes. To access a history of minutes click here: Meeting Minutes.
Maintaining Membership
As you might imagine, an organization like Texas Master Naturalist, rooted in learning and volunteerism, asks members to not only keep up their yearly dues but to also recertify annually. To be recertified, a member must complete 8 hours of Advanced Training and 40 volunteer service hours each year. Additional Chapter Rules and governing documents can be found under the Resources menu on this site.
