Saturday’s highlight is the start of a new pollinator garden in the open area of the site. While our first one is under a Texas Ebony, with its rich soil, the new garden will have direct sun for most of the day. We turned over the rough soil and will use a small tiller to finish breaking the dirt clumps further. We will supplement the soil with compost to finish preparing the spot.
Unfortunately, our huge brush pile, mostly Brazilian Pepper, has not been picked up. It has grown over the past few weeks. The truck provides a scale of the debris.
