Slow but steady…

Thanks to the crew that helped out on Saturday. It was our first start at 7:30 am and it was worth it! The temperature was perfect…as was the morning view!

The crew worked hard all morning. Thanks to Noemi for taking photos of our work crew.

We continued the war against guinea grass and Brazilian pepper. Progress can appear slow but we have made a dent on the work.

We also started a pollinator garden at the top area of where we have been clearing. If we can get these plants established, it will attract pollinators and increase the diversity of the site. Too much guinea grass had outcompeted many native species.

We’ll continue our efforts this Wednesday. Forecast calls for 50-60% chance of rain so we’ll see how the week materializes.
