Rio Grande Valley Chapter (RGVC)

Rio Grande Valley Chapter Mission Statement

The Rio Grande Valley Chapter Texas Master Naturalist is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes, more specifically to develop a group of knowledgeable volunteers to provide education, outreach and service dedicated to the study and conservation of natural resources and natural areas within the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Who We Are

Founded in 2003, the RGVC is a non-profit 501(c)3 operating in Texas’ southernmost counties: Willacy, Cameron and Hidalgo – bordering the Rio Grande and the Gulf of Mexico. We volunteer, educate, and promote awareness of conservation of natural resources and areas within the region. Please contact our Chapter Leadership for further information.

What We Do

The Chapter partners with experts to education members on the regional wildlife, native plants, and the natural resources. We also partner with local entities and projects, contributing to the overall state-wide service of the Texas Master Naturalist program.
